  • Join Master Potter Amy Palatnick for an immersive one-day workshop designed to support your body in the studio and strengthen your foundational wheel throwing technique.

    Body Self-Care

    Start the day by learning essential practices for sustaining a long, healthy, and joyful pottery life. Amy will guide you through practical body-care strategies that promote alignment, ease, and comfort as you work—helping you prevent strain, reduce soreness, and feel more comfortable as you work.

    The Claw Pull Technique

    In the afternoon, you’ll dive into Amy’s signature Claw Pull—the foundational first pull that can move a lot of clay and set you up for strong, even-walled cylinders. Through demonstration, guided practice, and personalized feedback, you’ll begin building the muscle memory and confidence to integrate this transformative technique into your throwing.

  • If you’ve mastered the basics with our level 1 Pottery Wheel or Summer School course, this one’s for you. Learn alternate techniques, experiment with new forms, ask questions, see project specific demos, and have fun. You will make lots of finished pieces, tailored to your interests.   • For potters with experience interested in starting their dinnerware journey. Continue your education with this 8 week wheel throwing class where we’ll work on plates, bowls & cups. You will focus on building a unified set, with the skills you need to produce similar likeness through duplication.

In this beginner friendly class, learn to craft your own small figurines with your hands and some simple tools and explore a few ways to paint and decorate them too! No sculpting experience needed.

  • An upper extremity health course with a focus on injury prevention, strength, mobility, and ergonomic strategies to support pain free pottery.

    Madi is an occupational therapist specializing in upper extremity health. She sees post-surgical and many repetitive strain injuries daily. During this course she will educate and teach strategies for preventing a repetitive stress injury from happening to you while working with clay.
